Limited Public Access to Courthouse to begin June 15th

06/10/2021

The Cass County Board of Commissioners Meeting regarding public access to county offices was held on June 9, 2020. By a vote of the Board of Commissioners: Beginning MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2020 at 8:00 A.M., public access to county offices will resume. The Cass County Courthouse will continue to have a limited access/exit point- through the handicapped entrance on the west side of the Building; individuals entering will have temperatures taken with a no-contact infrared thermometer and may be asked routine pandemic wellness questions prior to entry. For the continued safety of our citizens and employees, we encourage everyone to wear the recommended face-covering upon entry and while conducting business in all county buildings, we also ask that you limit the number of individuals entering to only those needed to directly complete your business. Please contact offices directly for further details/questions prior to arriving.

Cass County will continue to follow public health guidance and regulations from local health districts, DHMs, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Social distancing for employees and the public will continue; the 6-foot rule and limitations on crowd size, as directed by the CDC, State of Nebraska, or local public health departments will continue to be enforced. Revisions will be made accordingly.

We recognize this will be a challenge, the public may still contact offices directly by telephone or email. All offices remain staffed and available to assist taxpayers.
