Deputy Qualifications:

1. Minimum age of 21 years.
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
3. Physical requirements include normal eyesight and hearing examination.
4. High School Graduate or GED.
5. No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude.
6. Valid Nebraska Drivers License.
7. Achievement test required by Sheriff & State of Nebraska.

Successful applicants will be required to complete and pass a physical examination, drug screen, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation and the oral interview process. Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification is preferred but not required. Upon appointment to the Deputy Sheriff position, candidates must be a Nebraska resident and live within 45 minutes normal driving time to the Law Enforcement Center in Plattsmouth, NE.

Communication Operator Qualifications:

1. Minimum age of 19 years.
2. High School Graduate or GED
3. No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude.
4. Ability to operate computers, follow oral and written instructions, perform a wide variety of jobs in a high stressed environment while being able to stay calm and effective during each situation.
5. Achievement of test required by Sheriff & State of Nebraska.
