Ron Nolte, District #5 Commissioner, elected in 2005, believes strongly in listening to people to find out what they want from county government. Public concerns, which he will put first, include open and honest government, holding the line on spending and taxes, promote economic growth and strategic planning to meet our county’s growth Nolte says, “My top priority is to serve the public and to work cooperatively with everyone in county government for the betterment of our entire county. My experience in local government, business and agriculture gives me unique insight into accomplishing this.” Nolte is a life-long Cass County resident who has been active in helping Cass County grow, including serving on the Murray City Council for eight years and holding leadership positions in the American Legion, Marine Corps League, and Corn and Soybean grower organizations. Nolte is a graduate of Plattsmouth High School and Peru State College. He operates a grain farming operation west of Murray and has been a corporate and airline jet pilot for more than 30 years. His wife, Beverly Todd Nolte, is CEO of Girl Scouts-Great Plains Council.
